Hey friends, Joe Fier here from the Hustle and Flowchart podcast! I’m back behind the mic and excited to share a packed episode that’s all about what I’ve been up to, why I’ve been off the radar, and how Scott Duffy (my business partner) and I are helping people use AI and digital clones to do amazing things in their businesses. If you’ve been curious about AI, digital “twins,” how to actually use these tools, or what all this means for you, you’re in the right place. This post breaks down our story, what we’re building, and lots of helpful ideas—without the extra fluff.
In this episode, Scott and I give you a true insider’s look at our new business, the real process behind building your own AI clone with Delphi, and why there’s a huge opportunity right now for trainers, content creators, and business owners. We share simple examples, the exact steps, and real benefits so you can understand how it all fits together.

ToggleWhy I Took a Break and What We Built
Stepping away from the podcast for a while wasn’t easy, but it was the right call. Instead of pushing out content for content’s sake, I put my head down and worked with Scott to build something special. Together, we started AI Build Team, focusing on helping business owners, coaches, and creators use AI and the Delphi platform to scale themselves—making digital twins (aka “clones”) that talk, answer, and act just like you.
Scott and I had been working separately, helping our own clients build these digital tools. Then, we joined forces because our skills fit together: Scott’s a master at scaling and building companies (his background includes working with Tony Robbins, being early in online media, and raising money out West), and I bring years of media, marketing, and product-building to the table. We realized that, side by side, we could help more people get real results with AI—not just the tech, but actual business growth and human support.
Collaboration was key. Two heads are better than one, and when you add AI into the mix, it’s like “one plus one equals infinity.”
What Are AI Clones and Why They Matter
AI clones, digital twins, or digital minds (whatever you want to call them) are simply smart versions of yourself online. They can answer questions, share your advice, train people, sell for you, and be available 24/7—all based on your actual information, teachings, and tone. Delphi AI lets you take everything you’ve created—books, podcasts, emails, websites, videos, and private notes—and builds an interactive AI that talks to your customers, students, or team just like you would.
Not all AI clones are created equal. Delphi is special because it creates “non-scripted” clones (as Scott explained). These are different from basic scripted tools like HeyGen or Synthesia, where you just read a script and make a short video. The Delphi approach trains a unique AI mind on your own knowledge. Ask it anything and it can respond in detail, referencing years of content, and keeping context for every user—even remembering what each person wants for long-term conversations.
AI clones are early-stage but growing fast. Only about 6.1% of US companies have an AI strategy right now (Goldman Sachs study), and worldwide, only 0.8% of 360 million companies use ChatGPT for their business. Using clones puts you way ahead of the curve.
Some top names on Delphi’s Explore page show how legit this is: Arnold Schwarzenegger, Dr. Hyman, Cody Sanchez, Brendan Burchard, Matthew Hussey, Lewis Howes, Ben Greenfield, JJ Virgin, Brian Tracy, Matt Wolf, Joe Polish, Roland Frasier, Guy Kawasaki, Nir Eyal and more. (Find them at Delphi AI Explore.)
How Real People Are Using AI Clones
The most common early adopters are trainers, teachers, and creators. These folks have a mountain of content and an audience hungry for more engagement and value. Now, instead of constantly answering repeat questions or struggling to update online courses, they can build a Delphi clone. This clone can:
- Help students 24/7, lowering support and “churn.”
- Add new revenue through premium access.
- Keep people engaged and loyal to your community.
- Make old content come alive in modern ways.
Scott shared a great story about a real estate trainer who was about to spend tons filming a course, but realized that a Delphi clone could answer questions, update itself with new ideas, and stay helpful without the huge upfront cost or the need to re-record every time something changed.
Internal company training is another great use case. Businesses can load all their processes, handbooks, and FAQs into a Delphi clone—so new staff can ask and get answers anytime, straight from the boss or expert, without waiting for a call or email.
Scott’s “worst” testers for his own clone? His teen daughters. They know if the clone hasn’t been trained on something, he gets emailed to answer it—so they kept sending questions about getting a bigger allowance or a new car! That’s how you know the technology is working in real life.
The Step-by-Step Process to Create Your Own Delphi Clone
Building your own AI clone with us is simple and guided. Here’s the process:
- Vision Call
Start by sharing your vision. What do you want to accomplish, what would an “11/10” outcome look like? We help shape that goal, select one or two priority use cases, and agree on the best place to start. - Content Gathering
You send us all your best content: books, training materials, recordings, YouTube videos, podcasts, social posts, guides, even voice memos and journals. We walk you through how to organize and upload it. Most people use Google Drive, but we help no matter where your stuff is. - Build & Design
Our team (with marketing and training backgrounds) crafts the right “purpose” and adds instructions so your clone acts, thinks, and speaks right. We design prompts and logic to make sure it’s accurate, safe, and tuned for your needs. This usually takes about a week. - Feedback & Testing
You and your team test the clone as a user would—text, audio, video, all possible modes. You let us know what works or needs fixing. If something sounds off or missing, we adjust content or add training. - Integration & Launch
We help you put your clone where it’s needed: on your site, in your community, inside member portals, or for your team. We share best practices for announcing it and getting people excited to use it. - Ongoing Optimization & Automation
After launch, we keep working with you to keep the clone updated, improve it as new Delphi features come out, and build smart automations. This means better tagging, alerts, API integrations, and making your AI clone more useful every month.
Security, Privacy, and Trust in AI
Security matters a ton. Delphi doesn’t just toss your content into a big, messy pool (like ChatGPT sometimes does). Your data stays private, safe, and totally under your control. You can add, update, or take out anything at any time. HIPAA and medical privacy are still catching up to the AI world, but Delphi leads with strong walls for your knowledge.
Here’s the difference: ChatGPT and some tools may use your info to train their models (even if you use “incognito” mode—see lawsuits about incognito chat storage), but Delphi keeps your IP separate and protected. Sam Altman from OpenAI himself has warned people about this: don’t put your sensitive info into general-purpose tools unless you know where it will end up.
Revenue and Monetization Ideas for Clones
There are many ways to turn your clone into more income:
- Set a limit on free questions, then ask for an email to keep chatting. Now you can build your email list and follow up with offers or set up a funnel for sales.
- Create a paid subscription for premium or unlimited use of your clone.
- Put your clone inside a paid members area or community—the extra value reduces cancellations and upgrades the warmest fans.
- Bolt-on access to existing products or services, or offer it as a “VIP” feature.
- Use the clone to offer direct help, coaching, or expertise at new price points.
- Some are even building full courses or company training inside their Delphi—that clone delivers and supports the lessons.
One creative story: Greg Reid’s son Colt was badly injured. The Delphi team helped make a clone with Colt’s own voice and loaded it up with positive affirmations. It played in the hospital and became part of his healing process. That’s the kind of awesome, practical value these clones have, far beyond just business.
Integrations, Automations, and Ongoing Support
Delphi integrates with almost anything:
- Collects emails and SMS for your own CRM (Connects with tools like HubSpot, Go High Level, ConvertKit, Beehive, and Zapier).
- Syncs with your YouTube channel, podcast RSS, and website for updates.
- Can join Slack, join or take notes in Zoom meetings, and automate messages.
- Uses smart tagging, notification, and automated nudges to help users at the right time.
- Custom “actions” let you send reminders, emails, or external API calls, making your clone as useful as any high-end SaaS tool.
Our team trains you and your staff on new features as Delphi releases updates. We collect what’s working for other clients and bring those ideas straight to your project. You don’t get left behind.
Lessons Learned and Looking to the Future
Most people hesitate about AI because it feels too new or scary. 90-95% of people who buy AI business tools never use them, often because they get stuck at the setup stage. The help and support from our team is what bridges that gap—you won’t be alone or get confused about what’s next.
The best time to start with AI clones is now, not months or years from now when everyone’s caught on. People who play today (even with just one use case) are setting themselves up to have a big advantage when “the rush” comes. Internet adoption taught us this: those who were early building websites in 1997 were miles ahead when e-commerce took off.
Scott captured it well: “I think that there are so many people that are afraid of the future because they have fear about the future, because the unknown that AI brings… I am so excited about the future because I believe that when we get on our toes and learn how to interact with AI…AI is going to be one of the most amazing partners for us.”
